Duxbury (No. 1, Division 2) and Hingham (No. 2, Division 2) drew 1-1 on Tuesday night in Duxbury, the second meeting this season between the top two teams in the MIAA's Division 2 power rankings.

Duxbury is still unbeaten at 12-0-4. Hingham is 13-1-2, and its only loss is still the 3-1 defeat at home to Duxbury on Sept. 17, when Lilah MacQuarrie and Liv Coperine scored for the Dragons. Hingham has allowed six goals in 16 games. Four of them have come against Duxbury.

Duxbury senior Anna Manganello scored on a penalty kick in the first half. Hingham senior Taylor Bello tied it in the final minute, her 25th goal of the season, according to the Globe. Duxbury has allowed eight goals in 16 games and scored 68.

Where the league race stands

On the Patriot League table, which gives three points for a win and one for a tie, Duxbury has 36 points (11-0-3) and Hingham has 34 (11-1-1). Hingham has played one fewer league game.

Duxbury has two league games left, so it can finish with no more than 42 points. Hingham has three left, so it can reach 43. If Hingham wins all three, it finishes ahead of Duxbury no matter what the Dragons do. If Hingham drops points in any of them, a Duxbury team that wins its last two finishes first.

The remaining league games:

Duxbury also plays at Bishop Feehan (No. 1, Division 1) on Monday, Nov. 2, at 4 p.m. (game page), a non-league game. Feehan was 11-0-2 going into this week.

The Division 2 picture

Duxbury is the defending Division 2 state champion. Last fall it was the No. 1 seed and beat Longmeadow 3-1 in the final. Hingham was the No. 5 seed and lost 1-0 to Masconomet in the quarterfinals.

In the MIAA's Oct. 20 power rankings, Duxbury had a 4.0547 rating and Hingham 3.8920, with King Philip (No. 3, Division 2) at 3.7860 and Masconomet (No. 4, Division 2) at 3.7764. Tuesday's result goes into the next release. Our Oct. 20 power rankings have the full Division 2 order.
