Who the site is for

The Mass Pitch covers Massachusetts girls soccer, high school and club. Most of our readers are players ages 13 to 18, their parents and guardians, coaches, and fans.

• You must be 13 or older to create an account, claim a profile, or send us scores, stats or photos. If you're under 13, please don't sign up; a parent or guardian can contact us about your page instead.
• If you're 13 to 17, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to create an account or claim a profile. When you sign up or claim a profile you'll check a box confirming this, and we record that you did and when.
• Parents and guardians can contact us at any time about a child's account or page.

Player and team pages

We build team, player, coach and game pages from public sources: school and league schedules and results, published rosters, team and school posts, and scores reported by our community. Public player pages show sports facts only, such as name, team, class year, position, jersey number, hometown, games, goals and assists, honors, and college commitments.

If something about you or your child is wrong, or you want a player page corrected, limited or removed, email editorial@themasspitch.com with the page link and what you'd like changed. We review every request and usually act within a few days.

Accounts and profile claims

• Give accurate information and keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• Only claim a profile that is yours, or your child's if you're their parent or guardian. Coaches should only claim their own coach profile or a team they actually coach.
• We may verify, decline or remove a claim, and we may suspend accounts that break these terms.
• You can delete your account at any time. See "How to delete your account" in our Privacy Policy.

Scores, stats, photos and other things you send us

• Only submit scores, goals, assists and other stats you believe are accurate.
• Only upload or send photos and other content you have the right to share. Don't send photos of other people without their permission (or a parent's permission for a minor).
• Submitted stats and scores may be reviewed, checked against other sources, edited, or removed before or after they appear. We don't guarantee every submission will be published.
• You keep ownership of what you send us. You give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, edit, and share it on the site, in our newsletter, and on our social accounts so we can run The Mass Pitch. You can ask us to take down a photo you sent at any time.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• post false, harassing, hateful, or sexual content, or anything about a player beyond sports facts;
• impersonate someone, or claim a profile that isn't yours or your child's;
• submit fake scores or stats, or try to game rankings or leaderboards;
• scrape, copy in bulk, or overload the site, or try to get around security or access limits;
• use the site to contact, track, or collect information about minors.

Rankings, projections and accuracy

Projected rankings, power ratings, brackets, standings and similar features are our own unofficial estimates. The Mass Pitch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for the MIAA, NEPSAC, ECNL, Girls Academy, any league, or any school. Official results, seedings and tournament decisions come only from those organizations.

Some articles and page text are written with AI help, with humans in the loop. We work to be accurate, but scores, rosters and stats can be wrong or out of date. If you spot an error, email editorial@themasspitch.com.

Emails from us

By creating an account or claiming a profile, you agree to receive emails from The Mass Pitch, such as the weekly newsletter and post-game emails. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We also send account emails you need, like sign-in and claim confirmation links.

Our content

The site's design, articles, graphics, and logo belong to The Mass Pitch. You're welcome to share links and short quotes with credit. Scores and schedules are facts and aren't owned by anyone.

Disclaimers and limits on liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, The Mass Pitch is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on information on the site (including recruiting, seeding, or travel decisions). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Massachusetts consumer protection law that can't be waived.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date at the top, and for significant changes we'll post a notice on the site or email account holders. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.
